The year is 2263, humanity has reached an unprecedented technological level. This however also means that they are no longer on the Intergalactic Alliance protected civilizations list.  Now a threat rises the Lumini Collective is sending all it's forces trying to be the first ones to subjugate our world!

You are Max a hot shot talented pilot for the UNSD. You are on the front lines trying to take down specific targets that will weaken the enemy army. But your not alone thanks to advancements in technology, with you there is also an AI program within the ship. It also does not wish to be destroyed by the invading aliens.

Can you and your AI companion save us? Save our world?

15 levels,  with varied and challenging enemies, as well as 5 boss fights. 4 different player ships that unlock as you progress. A simple but hopefully entertaining story. Control the ship with your finger/mouse. A high score system to keep track how fast you managed to beat the game. Droppable boosts health, speed and shield.

This game is to some extend an homage to old arcade games like Space Invaders, Galaxian, Asteroids etc.

I am not an artist I have not created the assets for this game. I am just the programmer. I will add credits to everyone. But massive credits goes to Gustavo Vituri his space shooter asset pack is massive and you can see most of it in use in this game. Definitely recommend to everyone that want to try and do this type of game.

I mainly made this for mobile, since I wanted something similar to play but I'll add a PC version as well. I have tried and tested the game as much as I could on my own but if you guys see any bugs please let me know.

Update I have added a webGL version so that people can play it in browser. Also I made the earlier bosses and enemies slightly easier in the webGL version as people had some problems early on. I've left the pc and android versions untouched they are a bit more challenging. Also I am starting a new game but this was a fun little space adventure to make.

Very cool, fullscreen doesn't work (in WebGL) and I randomly died without being hit. Fun game though.

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. Fullscreen doesn't work since the games webGL is meant for a jam. I haven't completely optimized it.

I couldn't beat the first boss :'( but there are a lot better arcade gamers out there than me! Would you have any interest in joining the Aviator game jam? Cash Prizes and the opportunity for grants! 2023 Aviator Arcade Game Jam - itch.io

Yes I wouldn't mind joining I see I qualify for all the requirements except webGL which I can make by the time of the jam. Also don't worry about the first boss I'll nerf him ;) seems like people are struggling with him.

Still super tough haha, I could see it as more of a mobile game using your finger to drag the ship vs the mouse on PC. Maybe integrate WASD or the Arrow Keys?

Quite a dynamic game with various enemy types to shoot at! I loved the music and graphics. The paralax background with all those colors looks amazing.

The asteroids also being able to kill enemies was a nice addition! I mean, I'm definetely not complaining about getting some powerups from some asteroid kills hahaha!

I didn't last too long though... I think I need to get better at dodging, as my AI co-pilot said.

One thing I think would be a great feature to have would be persistent powerups. I might have died before they started appearing, but it would be nice to have a tiny persistent speed boost, or firing speed persistent boost and that kind of stuff.

Anyway, amazing work! Have a good one :D

Thank you very much :) And yes you get new ships with power ups after bosses. Thank you again for the art and have a great day!
